Juristas, profesionales de toda índole, ciudadanía preocupada… Ya somos 5.000 los firmantes del manifiesto promovido por un grupo de juristas liderado por D. Tomás-Ramón Fernández. Este es el número de adhesiones en este momento:

No hay duda de que el momento es relevante y de que la sociedad civil siente necesidad de expresar su preocupación.
El manifiesto se publicó a la peor hora posible: avanzada la tarde de un sábado. Y alcanzó los 5.000 en 48 horas, al final del lunes. Usted también puede unirse.

Esto, precisamente. No consigo comprender que los que apoyan el acuerdo (la mayoría de mi alrededor, porque consideran que es necesario para mantener a la derecha fuera del gobierno) no vean esto. Que la degradación de nuestros controles democráticos no tiene fácil marcha atrás y que pronto será utilizada por esa misma derecha que ahora creen poder neutralizar.

> Desde la asociación Historiadors de Catalunya queremos denunciar el uso presentista, manipulado y falso de la historia, en el acuerdo firmado por Junts per Catalunya y el PSOE que busca en la historia en general y en 1714 en particular el origen de un supuesto conflicto entre España y Cataluña y la pérdida de unas ficticias libertades por la fuerza de las armas.

> Ante tales afirmaciones que sostiene el acuerdo firmado, apuntamos:
>
> - Que la guerra de Sucesión española fue un conflicto civil y dinástico.
>
> - Que el rey Felipe V juró y respetó las instituciones y leyes catalanas en 1702.
>
> - Que el pacto firmado por el rey Felipe V y las Cortes Catalanas fue roto unilateralmente por los últimos y con las armas en 1706.
>
> - Que tras ser derrotada la rebelión en 1714 y según la ley, el monarca tenía el derecho a gobernar la provincia rebelde como dispusiese.
>
> - Que los Decretos de la Nueva Planta no abolieron el catalán.
>
> - Que las leyes sustituidas por el Decreto de la Nueva Planta de 1716 eran feudales,
>
> oligárquicas e incluso racistas como se recoge en el Capitulo XVI de las Constituciones de 1706 donde se ordena la expulsión de los gitanos de Cataluña con penas de diez años de galeras para los varones adultos y de cien latigazos para mujeres y niños.
>
> - Que la administración borbónica y su nueva legislación establecieron las bases para el crecimiento económico y demográfico en Cataluña tras dos siglos de decadencia.
>
> - La nueva dinastía borbónica mejoró la economía en general y el comercio con América en particular, beneficiando las manufacturas textiles y el puerto de Barcelona
>
> - Que en los acuerdos firmados con ERC y PNV también se hace uso de una historia tergiversada para justificar el pacto de investidura.
>
> - Que la manipulación, tergiversación, falseamiento y ocultación de la historia son los cimientos donde se ha construido y se construye el relato independentista catalán. Por tanto, el documento firmado por PSOE y Junts por Catalunya busca justificar en el pasado un supuesto conflicto de España contra Cataluña perpetuado en el tiempo.

El jueves conocimos el texto del acuerdo político entre el Partido Socialista Obrero Español y Junts Per Catalunya para posibilitar la investidura como Presidente del Gobierno del candidato socialista y actual Presidente en funciones.
Publiqué aquí el texto completo, y en el título expresé la estupefacción que me produjo su lectura.
La reacciones del mundo jurídico y la sociedad civil han sido múltiples, todas alarmadas por el lenguaje del acuerdo, claramente lesivo del respeto que debería merecer la separación de poderes y, en particular, la independencia del poder judicial.
Unos cuantos juristas independientes (de la academia, la judicatura o la abogacía) hemos decidido hacer pública también nuestra opinión, y les invitamos a suscribirla, si también la comparten, firmándola en el siguiente formulario.
