Outlines vs. Mind Maps @MacSparky
David Sparks on outlining vs. mind mapping:
Both tools are good at taking a bunch of inputs and letting you organize them later. For me, the distinction is all about chaos and order. Specifically, where outlines are best for taking generally organized information and making it more organized, mind maps are all about taming chaos.
I’m definitely an outline guy. It’s just how my brain works, linear bulleted thinking more than a visual representation of my ideas.

The Nonprofit Productivity Summit begins today #nonprofitsummit
Beginning the Nonprofit Productivity Summit
I joined more for the productivity side than the Nonprofit view, and mainly because of David Sparks, Mike Vardy and David Allen.
Not sure about the religious point of view in the introduction, but well, I guess it’s the religious nature of the States. Best regards from secular Europe.
I’m sure I’m going to learn a lot, I’ll try to share.

Me pregunto si se empieza a abrir alguna vía para que los licitadores o, en general, las empresas competidoras, puedan vigilar la ejecución de los contratos y tengan acción para reclamar de los poderes adjudicadores, por ejemplo, su resolución.

Put simply, Shortcuts for Mac is in limbo right now. The good news is that it is improving a lot in the betas and every sign we can see from the outside points to the fact that the Shortcuts Team is aware of these issues and working on them. My experience is being quite good. It’s true that I only use a couple of Shortcuts in Mac, but they’re quite complex (one of them finds due items in Omnifocus and sends them to my calendar; the other one runs javascript to convert numbers into letters) and they’re working fine.

New post from the micro.blog web editor. The one before did not show up in Twitter, let’s see if this one does.
Update (2021-12-07): Great, it worked seamlessly. Both posts showed up in Twitter, so I think I found my workflow. Long form legal posts will go to umerez.eu at Squarespace, and short legal and productivity/geek posts will go to microblog.umerez.eu at micro.blog.

Trying out Mars Edit
Let’s see how this Mars Edit short post shows in Micro.blog, and whether it publishes to Twitter automatically.

I want to use Mars Edit because I like desktop apps and they help me get my stuff done, but my blog is hosted in Squarespace and they don’t work together. Migrating my blog to some other place seems like too much work, something I may think about if I get a few days' vacation during Christmas.
Update (2021-12-06): I just connected Mars Edit to my microblog and I am editing this post right away.

I’m still trying to figure out what to do. I write in Spanish about the law in umerez.eu, but I want a place to write short texts to register my tips. Everything becomes a big project, though, why can’t I just write and see where this takes me to.

¿Puede un competidor vigilar la ejecución de un contrato que no se le adjudicó?
Gracias a un artículo de Miguel Ángel Blanes (@mablanes) titulado «Los licitadores no adjudicatarios tienen derecho a acceder a la información generada en la ejecución del contrato, aunque no impugnaran la adjudicación», he conocido la Sentencia de 1 de octubre de 2021 de la Sección 7ª de la Sala de lo Contencioso-Administrativo de la Audiencia Nacional (Recurso 50/2020, ECLI:ES:AN:2021:4384), que concluye que «Los licitadores que no resultaron adjudicatarios, aunque no impugnaran esta adjudicación, tienen derecho a acceder a la documentación que se genere en ejecución del contrato», razonando a este respecto lo siguiente:
